I've just been named International Coach of the (freakin) Year!
I was sitting on a remote beach in Vietnam with my husband, sipping a cold beer and scoffing a spring roll when the news came through: I’d been named International Coach of the Year.
Thousands of miles away in a Melbourne conference room, my name was called out to a room full of incredible coaches.
This award recognises coaches from around the world who are making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. And even now, I’m still wrapping my head around it.
You can watch my International Coach of the Year acceptance speech here.
I had to pre-record my speech before I’d even known if I had won (which was a weird experience in itself) but the sentiment of it rang true regardless of whether I got the award.
It is surreal to be celebrated for work that feels so naturally joyful and fulfilling. Coaching never felt like a sacrifice, it felt like an unlocking.
Back in 2018, I walked away from a brilliant career in marketing, comms, and PR. I wasn’t running from something, I was running towards something — even if I didn’t know exactly what it was. It was terrifying. And liberating.
Since then, I’ve supported hundreds of leaders, teams, and individuals to back themselves, challenge unhelpful thinking and lead with clarity, courage and connection.
And I’ve done it in a way that’s felt fully me — warm, honest, irreverent and hopeful — which I firmly believe has been the reason for my success.
This award means the world to me because it represents more than just good work.
It represents alignment. Impact. And proof that when you follow what feels right, people feel it too.
So if you’ve got an idea you can’t shake, a pull toward something more, or a whisper that says “this could be for you” — listen to it.
If you want something, you’re already destined for it.
To the Beautiful You Coaching Academy, thank you for the honour.

To my husband and family, thank you for being my anchor and inspiration.

It is.
It absolutely is.
